Relationship Ideas for Your Book

The lack of creativity is another factor that may slow down your growth as an accomplished manga artist. It can be frustrating to be in front of your graphic tablet or paper, ready to work on your manga comic but not knowing where to start. It might be frustrating to the point of postponing your drawing session AGAIN until you no longer wish to make your manga comic.

Get reassured; I selected a few basic themes you can recycle for your manga comic.

An easy method to draw a character from scratch, ideal for beginners

Family Relationship

As you can see, it’s a classic one, but it’s always good to remember it. Mentioning the”family” concept might not be helpful for some, but let me give you more details. To make it easier, ask yourself these questions:

How do the siblings behave with each other? Is there any rivalry? Are they close? How is their relationship with their parents?

You can ask if something happened in the past that might justify the friction between the members. Let me know in the comment section if you want me to share some ideas about conflicts between family members.

Friendship, the power of a stirred relationship

I was not lying when I told you we would focus on fundamental relationships.

As we proceed with the family category, let’s ask ourselves the following questions for friends:

Is it a hostile relationship? A sibling-like relationship? Males and females only? A mix of both? A long-term or short-term friendship?

By answering these questions, you should have an overall idea of how to develop your characters and their backstories.

You want to know the atmosphere in the workspace, whether between employees or with their boss. This category can be applied to students and high schoolers as well. The questions are similar to the ones for the two previous categories, but here are other ideas:

Mistreatment (bullying)? Stressful workplace? Depression? Anxiety?

Love Interest, Relationship

We couldn’t end the list without mentioning one of the most obvious. Like its counterparts, love is broad and can cover themes like:

Mutual love, one-sided love, married or engaged couples, a love affair, happy-ever-after, or abusive relationships (you understand what I mean for the latest).

Based on those themes, you may adapt it to other elements, such as adventure, politics, and thriller genres, which artists often choose to target a Male audience.
