You nearly choke on your own saliva, convinced your time has come.

You feel your limbs growing heavy, a sensation you attribute to Dio‘s Stand, which you suspect is lurking nearby. Just then, Rosiel appears for the second time, displaying the same enthusiasm as when your paths crossed during the Naruto episode. The androgynous angel says:

But you quickly realise that the superheroes you know aren’t the ones the My Hero Academia students are talking about. You hear names like All Might, Endeavor, and Hawks—and you stop there, because the list of superheroes in this universe is far too long to memorise.

Learn About Your Classmates and Their Abilities

 

Izuku “Deku” Midoriya

His real name is Midoriya; he’s a rather simple-minded boy, but—admittedly—he has a big heart. What’s more, his love for heroes—starting with All Might—will help you quickly familiarise yourself with the world of My Hero Academia (and certainly not “Academia Deku”, as Dio led you to believe).

However, the thing that makes you think twice about choosing Midoriya as a partner is the unhealthy obsession of a certain Bakugo—a guy with a very sharp tongue.

 

Another drawback for Midoriya: the poor kid has no Quirk.

 

That’s quite a problem, since you need to feed on the spirit of My Hero Academia—which is what your mentor and Rosiel meant when they talked about developing your own Stand… I mean, Quirk.

 

Katsuki Bakugo

At this rate, he’s going to lose his voice within the next two hours if he keeps straining his vocal cords the way he does.

 

He would have been an excellent singer; he missed his calling!

 

Besides potentially being a great singer, Bakugo is a very creative boy.

There’s no shortage of them when it comes to this explosive fellow. And just like his explosive personality, Bakugo’s Quirk allows him to control explosions, a useful power, though it should be used in moderation. After all, nobody wants terrorist attacks breaking out all over the globe.

Bakugo is one of the Academy’s top students, so teaming up with the aspiring superhero will quickly propel you to the very top. In fact, Bakugo knows he’s talented and makes sure everyone else knows it too—especially Deku.

It’s up to you to decide whether Bakugo is really the best student in My Hero Academia.

For now, the limited number of future superheroes makes it hard to reach an objective decision.

 

Ochako Uraraka

A heroine who restores your faith in humanity. Just as driven as Midoriya and Bakugo when it comes to hard work, Ochako recognises her shortcomings and seeks to overcome them by putting extra effort into improving her weaknesses.

 

That is a highly commendable quality—especially for someone like you, currently on probation.

 

After all, your own refusal to acknowledge your flaws is precisely why an internship alongside aspiring superheroes is crucial.

This reality hits you hard, given that your own self-confidence is a blend of Bakugo’s, Sasuke Uchiha’s, and Neji Hyuuga’s combined. In other words, you struggle to understand people of Momo’s calibre—who, frankly, have nothing to envy their classmates for.

If she were more self-confident, Momo could make miracles. However, her indecisiveness leaves you sceptical—even though you don’t turn your back on her completely… the same goes for the other students; they all have their strengths, but also flaws that force you to re-evaluate the qualities of the final two students left in the room.

 

Tsuyu Asui

A human-form amphibian—that’s the kind of Quirk whose story you’d want to hear even after your internship ends.

At least, it’s strained from Shoto’s perspective; Endeavor doesn’t seem to harbour any bitterness toward his son. Still, you can understand where Shoto is coming from—the number two hero wasn’t exactly the most loving father.

You know that childhood trauma can spell trouble for a smooth internship. Even so, Todoroki’s charisma makes you downplay the risks.

Besides, isn’t Shoto just incredibly cool with that two-toned hair?
